For our customer Roche Diagnostics International AG based in Rotkreuz we are looking for a qualified Digital Transformation Specialist – Generative AI Projects (m/f/d)

Background:

The Digital Innovation and Operational Services Chapter is a global team in R&D that focuses on internal improvement: increasing productivity, efficiency, and the ability of the R&D organization to collaborate across its global organizational interfaces. Our work involves reducing complexity of our systems, harmonizing processes, tools, and business practices, and building connections across geographical and organizational silos.
Within this team we drive Digital Initiatives by modernizing our computational and data ecosystems and integrating digital technologies across Research and Development with a focus on design control data. We implement the corporate AI strategy, empower teams, and support them in day-to-day activities.

As a Digital Transformation Specialist, you will be at the forefront of our GenAI initiatives, driving the assessment and implementation of AI concepts to enhance R&D productivity. You’ll serve as a critical link between business needs and technical innovation, with a specific focus on leveraging Generative AI to streamline our design control documentation processes. This contractor role is designed to deliver rapid, high-impact results by leading the development of proofs of concept with both internal teams and external partners.

The Perfect Candidate possesses experience in regulated environments and agile methodologies, coupled with a thorough understanding of engineering design processes and design control documentation. They demonstrate a proven ability to conduct business analysis and translate business needs into practical use cases for technological solutions. A strong interest and foundational knowledge in Generative AI and its business applications are essential, along with an expertise in validating computerized systems, including AI capabilities. Fluent English communication skills are also required.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Assess and analyze design control processes to identify pain points and opportunities for leveraging Generative AI to increase productivity, taking into account the Roche corporate AI strategy
  * Identify the use cases for automating and digitalizing work processes, key performance indicators to evaluate the effectiveness of the AI implementation
  * Lead the development of a proof of concept for a selected AI concept, working with internal resources or external partners to deliver a demonstrable solution within a 3-4 month cycle
  * Support the development, validation and scale-up of an chosen AI implementation
  * Actively participate in an agile environment, contributing to project planning, execution, and delivery

Must Haves:

• Bachelor Degree in IT or internal development processes and/or digitalization in a regulated environment
  * Min. 3-5 years of experience in a regulated environment, such as the medical device or pharmaceutical industry
  * Deep familiarity with engineering design processes and design control documentation
  * Experience working with agile methodologies, including an understanding of a SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) setup
  * Proven ability to conduct business analysis and translate business needs into actionable use cases for technological solutions
  * A strong interest and foundational knowledge in Generative AI and its application to business problems
  * Knowledge in validation of computerized systems, ideally including AI capabilities (**)
  * Demonstrated experience in a project-based role with a focus on quick, iterative delivery
  * Fluent English spoken & written skills, German nice to have
