Analytics DevOps – Big Data Engineer – Trading/PostgreSQL/Cloudbees/Jenkins – Zürich

Project: For our client in the financial services industry, we are looking for an experienced Big Data Engineer. You will ensure the processing of streaming analytics whilst ensuring stable performance on the platform.

Duties will include the reviewing of the data analytics platform in trading (application for collecting market and order data) with a Special focus on improving the performance and stability of the platform in the area of tick data

This is a key role where you will make a lasting contribution to solution architecture and expansion of the Trading analytics platform (scaling)

Skills and Experience Required:

• Degree (Uni/FH) in Banking and Finance, Business Administration, Business Informatics or comparable education.
• Experience with the conception, configuration and integration of applications in the field of data analytics (BigData)
• Experience with the configuration and optimisation of databases for tick data, in particular with a focus on query and memory performance
• Willingness for support / on-call duties
• Experience and knowledge in FX/PM trading advantageous
• Experience with PostgreSQL Timescale DB and InfluxDBGit, Gradle, Cloudbees/Jenkins, Continuous Delivery Pipeline
• Good Linux (RedHat) knowledge
• We are seeking an open-minded team player with a healthy dose of ambition and assertiveness

Languages:

• English: Fluent (Written and Spoken)
• German would be an advantage but not essential.
