For our customer based in Zurich we are looking for a Bioinformatics data analyst – integrative data analysis of next generation sequencing and imaging data

Background:

We are inviting applications for a Bioinformatics data analyst Position: integrative data analysis of next generation sequencing and imaging data. The position is available immediately and will be filled for one year in the first instance with an aim to prolong. Or client is a leading center for several important developments in precision medicine including tumor genomics and morphological assessment of the immune microenvironment. To further improve stratification of patients for precision treatment of cancer, we aim to integrate comprehensive genomic datasets with imaging data.

Skills:

We are looking for enthusiastic and highly motivated applicants holding a Master degree in Bioinformatics, Medical Informatics or similar with an interest in physiology, biochemistry or genetics.

Essential qualifications include relevant work experience in omics and NGS data analysis or image analysis and advanced scripting skills (R/Bioconductor, Python/Perl).

Preference will be given to applicants with previous practical experience in one or more of the following areas: integrative data analysis of sequencing and image data, high performance computing, statistics, clinical or medical working environment.

Excellent analytical, communication and writing skills are expected.

English language skills are required, German skills are of advantage but not a prerequisite.
