For our customer a big pharmaceutical company in Basel we are looking for a highly Business Intelligence Specialist

Background:
As the Data Strategy & Analytics Team at the Pharma Site Organization, our purpose is to boost the impact of our customers with our leading Data & Analytics solutions. We develop dashboards, reports, forecasts, and advanced data analytics solutions (artificial intelligence/machine learning). Our use cases span from work with internal business units at the Pharma Site Organization, to collaborations with external business units at the Roche Core Business.To fulfill our purpose, we are looking for a Business Intelligence Specialist that creates reports, dashboards and data storytelling.

The perfect candidate:
We are looking for a junior candidate who is able to create reports based on inquiries and can visualize the data. The candidate should have experience in SAP Analytics Cloud or at least willing and able to learn it. In addition, the person needs to be able to understand and code in SAP SWL. German is needed at least in Level B2 but fluent would be an advantage. The mentioned soft skills are important such as self-organized, autonomous and engaged and being an expert in Business Intelligence tools and methods with an ownership mind-set.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

-Creation reports, dashboards and forecasts, in collaboration with the Data Visualization Expert and the Data Scientist.
* Access data products, data warehouses, and other data infrastructure to discover, explore, and visualize data.
* Extraction, analysis and visualization of data with Business Intelligence tools such as SAP Analytics Cloud.
* Working with the team and customers to implement changes and advance the data and analytics solutions or products.
* Engaging with data owners and other teams to access and evaluate the required data sources.
* Maintaining created reports and dashboards.

Must Haves:

-Min. Bachelor degree in a relevant field such as Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline
* Min. 2-3 years of experience in Business Intelligence and data visualization, data reporting, understanding the technical aspects of data pipelines and data management
* Hands-on experience with business intelligence methods and tools such as SAP Analytics Cloud or Tableau
* Ability to code and read SAP SQL and handle the data in SAP Tools
* Familiarity with IT systems and technologies used in data management, data querying languages and tools, integration tools, ETL processes, data warehouses, and databases
* Fluency in English is a MUST and German (B1-B2 Level) needed both in spoken and written and is an advantage
* Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
* The ability to convey complex concepts in a clear and concise manner is essential
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Self-organization, autonomy, and an engaged mindset are vital for success in the role
* Attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities are crucial for identifying and resolving business intelligence challenges
* Collaboration, adaptability, and the ability to work in a team are valuable for effectively implementing solutions

Nice to Have:
* Familiarity with coding languages such Python, R
* Understanding of data strategy and analytics concepts, including advanced data analytics solutions such as artificial intelligence and machine learning
* Familiarity with data governance frameworks, policies, and procedures
* Understanding of data standards and compliance requirements
* Knowledge of data privacy regulations and best practices for data security
* Awareness of data protection requirements and ability to implement appropriate measures
