C++ Software Engineer (m/f) – Zürich

Project: For our client in Zurich, we are currently looking for an experienced C++ Developer (m/f) who has demonstratable computing knowledge in areas such as algorithms, data structures and object oriented programming.

Your responsibilities:

• You will implement and optimize computational code, especially using solvers for systems of PDEs
• Variety of development within the given technological stack, adhering to high and innovative internal standards
• Hands-on work on a Python framework, such as building infrastructure for data, implementing instrument drivers, automating calibration routines, developing visualization tools and more
• Collaborate with stakeholders to determine application requirements

Your profile:

• Master’s degree or PhD in computer science, software development or related field.
• 3+ years of experience as a C++ software engineer
• Ideally you will have worked in a research environment
• Experience with Git, Make and/or cmake
• Experience with Finite element methods, Fortran, Visualization, Docker and SQL are a plus
• Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming
• 2+ years‘ experience of working with Python
• Bash scripting skills
• German language skills – nice to have
