For our Client PwC in Zurich we are looking for a Data Center & Cloud System Administrator (m/f/d).

Tasks & Responsibilities:

You are part of the Cloud and Data Center team within the Technology and Transformation (TnT) organization of PwC Switzerland. Together with the team, you administer on-prem data center and the cloud-based platform services. This includes operating, developing and continuously improving our services in terms of platforms, policies, and processes.

You take end-to-end responsibility for your services – from understanding business processes and demands to implementing innovative solutions and successful handover into daily operations. This includes technical change management, support, monitoring and engineering tasks.

You localize, isolate, and fix malfunctions, in addition you give impulses for technical avoidance and/or escalation procedures.

You help with conception, design and architecture, project realization, implementation and operations of innovative business solutions using state-of-the-art technologies.

As part of the IT organization in the larger PwC network, you contribute to local and global IT projects. You enjoy working with other territories. You provide expertise and implement solutions that allow our business to grow. At the same time, you ensure that our services are secure and compliant with local and global policies. 

Your profile:
You have a higher-education degree in computer science (HF/FH) or comparable practical experience.

You have profound knowledge and multiple years of experience as a System Administrator

You have good understanding of the following technologies and concepts: Microsoft Windows servers and NetApp data storage, VMware ESX Environment and Veeam Backup, Azure IaaS and PaaS, Azure Kubernetes Services, Azure DevOps and CI/CD, PowerShell, Business continuity plans

You have practical experience in IT Service Management.

You are committed, independent, reliable, solution-oriented and pragmatic.

You want to work in a team with a culture that is open, caring and free. You are not afraid to ask for and give constructive feedback. You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

You have a „can do“ attitude and welcome new challenges. You like working on multiple tasks in parallel and are ready to take on responsibility from day one.

You are fluent (written and spoken) in English and German
