ELECTRICAL ENGINEER SPACE INDUSTRY (f/m/d) – circuit /EMC / German / ECSS / ISO9001


Project:
For our customer based in Zürich we are looking for a highly qualified ELECTRICAL ENGINEER for SPACE INDUSTRY

Tasks & Responsibilities:
Electrical design and development of mechanisms for space application, as well as for supporting equipment such as of EGSE, Unit Testers and its associated harness.

  • Definition of requirement specification for space electronics in accordance with the upper-level requirements
  • Shadow engineering and technical subcontractor management of electronics suppliers for the control of space mechanisms
  • Electrical engineering support for ground based scientific and industrial projects
  • Preparation of extensive technical project offers, discussion and negotiation with possible and/or future subcontractors / suppliers
  • Synthesis and analysis of electrical circuits by means of dedicated software, including simulation at circuit and layout level.
  • Develop firmware or software for electrical assemblies or automated test systems following specification and coding standards.
  • Planning and conducting / supporting qualification and acceptance tests (mainly electrical, functional, EMC and micro-vibration tests)
  • Preparation, participation and leading of meetings i.e., for technical design reviews with suppliers and customer-chain or for potential NCR and NRB (root-cause, investigations and way forward)
  • Writing of English technical documentation such as, electrical interface descriptions, worst-case, parts-stress and radiation analysis etc.

Must Haves:
Master or University degree in Electrical Engineering or similar

  • At least 3 years‘ experience with hardware design: circuit design and simulation of the functionality using CAD and/or PCB layout generation tools
  • Experience in Altium Designer, MATLAB and Simulink are a strong asset.
  • Experience in planning and executing functional performance tests or EMC Test Campaigns (CE, CS, RE, RS and ESD), including documenting and analyzing the tests results
  • Good experience in writing technical documentation
  • Technical understanding of space quality standards (ECSS / MIL) and EEE components
  • Experience in low-level programing of microprocessors and FPGAs is nice to have
  • Used to work in lab environment/clean rooms
  • Advanced and proven level of English; German is a big advantage
  • Dynamic, proactive person, able to manage different projects in parallel is a strong asset
  • Committed and rigorous in his/her daily work but also able to understand other customer constraints and constructively interface with them
  • Positive, solution-oriented person, able to cope with high workload peaks and stress
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 and EN 9100 environment
