FX Support & Operation Engineer – DevOps, Trading, Bloomberg

Projekt / Rolle: We are looking for an experienced System Administrator (m,w,d) to join our banking client in Zurich for a 2-year project. The successful candidate will join a team of dedicated professionals to ensure system availability and continuous operational improvement.

Main Tasks:

• Error analysis and resolution of operational issues.
• Monitoring and ensuring system availability outside of business hours.
• Collaboration with DevOps team members to integrate automation into the development cycle and operations.
• Continuous improvement of operations and operational processes
• Documentation of operational processes and procedures
• Readiness to respond quickly and resolve problems in emergencies.
• Participation in continuous development and adaptation to new technologies and best practices in the DevOps field.

Requirements:

• Experience in system administration and operations in the financial industry, ideally in a trading environment
• Knowledge of Foreign exchange trading (spot, forwards, swaps, options, money market)
• Know-how of FIX, Multi dealer Platform APIs (Bloomberg, 360T.), Liquidity Providers etc
• Good understanding of DevOps practices and concepts
• Knowledge of automating operational processes
• Willingness to work outside of regular business hours
• Familiarity with monitoring and troubleshooting tools
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash)
• Certifications in the field of system administration advantageous
• Very good knowledge of Linux
• Windows Server knowledge
• Familiarity with CI/CD Tools – FIX, gRPC, REST
• Elasticsearch, relational databases/Timescaled DB
• JVM/Operation of Java applications
• Latency optimization
• Network technology & appliances such as Corvil
• Atlassian Tools
• Redhat

Languages:

• English; fluent (written and spoken)
• German; Basic knowledge
