For our client Roche Diagnostic based in Rotkreuz we are looking for a Global Congresses and Events Manager (m/w/d).

The Global Congresses Events Team operates as a centre of excellence for customer centric event management within the Diagnostics division as well as driving employee engagement through employee events. The team is part of the global Marketing & Customer Insights Unit.

Areas of responsibility:

– Accountable for the concept development and overall organization and execution of Roche participation onsite, virtually and at international congresses, Roche own events, onsite and global launch meetings

– Develops and delivers results-oriented congresses & events; scope includes event strategy and

management, budget oversight, agenda development and collaboration/coordination across multiple stakeholders, measure and report performance; Lead, develop and evolve employee engagement through internal employee events

– Leading project teams in cross-functional set ups as well as project management to ensure high quality of event execution

– Planning and developing innovative congress and event concepts as well as experimental meeting design and ensure the implementation

– Developing and managing a customer experience program (CEP), both on-site and virtually, and being an active host for VIP customer events, using the (CEP), visitor center, showroom and innovation room to tell a comprehensive and differentiated story for our customers

– Supporting, maintaining and enforcing comprehensive event operational standards, policies and procedures

– Share best practices across internal teams and from other parts of the industry, leverage the best practices for continuous improvement

– Coordinating and leading internal and external partner (such as booth building companies, event agencies). Demonstrates success in managing and negotiating with third-party vendors

– Managing teams, suppliers and other contributors to exceptional levels of execution on all assigned deliverables and programs – on schedule, in scope and within budget

– Providing strategic guidance and operational consulting for events & congresses. Provide direction based on overall communication objectives, key messages and target groups

– Ensuring that all congress and event activities reinforce the brand positioning and key messages

Professional and technical requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree in Congress and Event Management, Communication, Marketing or related field, or equivalent combination of education and work-related experience required

– Min. 3 – 5 years extensive experience in congress and events management or related marketing fields

– Experienced in building relationships with a large variety of executive stakeholders

– Matrix team leading skills and very good skills in collaborating with internal, external partner teams, customers and vendor/consultants to drive business objectives in a nimble, progressive environment

– Excellent organizational, project management & administration skills with strong customer focus and demonstrated close attention to detail

– Both verbally and written fluency in English and German; French is a plus

– Ability and willingness to travel occasionally (when travel restrictions lifted)

Nice to haves:

– Experience in diagnostics market or pharma

– Strong communication skills in international environment

– Ability to jungle with multiple priorities, flexibility and able to cope with stress in a fast-paced work environment

– Experience in event management software (cent, Virtual Event software, Webinars)
