For our customer Roche Diagnostics International AG based in Rotkreuz we are looking for a highly qualified Junior Data Scientist.

Background:

As a Junior Data Scientist in the RMD System Development (SD) chapter, the candidate will have a unique and rewarding opportunity to shape upcoming Data Mesh products built around RMD platforms. The candidate will work as a team member across the complete instrument data products life cycle including architecture, design, development, test, and deployment, with the focus of applying data science best practices to Systems Root Cause Investigations (RCI).The team includes a diversity of backgrounds from Data Scientists with a focus in survival analysis, anomaly detection, natural language processing to experienced systems and software

engineers. Therefore, the team is looking for candidates with formal Data Science training and solid software engineering skills.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Understand product requirements and translate them into data science outcomes that will support Product Care activities
• Build and own Tableau dashboards with data narratives (KPI, trends etc)
• Support the entire SD Product Care team with ad hoc data tasks/requests including data engineering tasks
• Apply automation to make the most of our data platform’s computation and storage resources
• Leverage big data technologies perform distributed data processing pipelines: AWS/ Snowflake

Must Haves:

• Min. Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Software engineering, Mathematics or similar (STEM)
• Min. 6 months of experience as a data scientist, preferred in a project environment
• Hands-on coding and programming experience (e.g. Python)
• Project experience with SQL development
• Fluency in English (spoken and written), German is a plus
• Great problem solving and communication skills
• Able to prepare and create clear documentation and communicate and adapt the processes
• Ability to interpret and translate/explain technical requirements into tasks

Nice to have:

• Experience working in an agile development environment as part of a sprint team
• Interest in Machine Learning
• Interest in systems reliability engineering
