For our customer a big pharmaceutical company in Basel we are looking for a highly qualified Procurement Delivery Manager (m/w/d).

Background:
The Delivery capability covers the core procurement activities from category management, strategic and operational sourcing, supplier relationship management, content strategy definition, and execution in the field of CDMO Procurement. The Delivery capability comprises many communities grouping categories of the same value chain or having commonality. The communities are key enablers of strong category expertise while allowing flexibility in the procurement delivery response to the evolving needs of our customers.
This position is part of the EMS team reporting into the Procurement Delivery Lead – External Manufacturing Services.

The perfect candidate:
Has a business degree and over 3 years of experience in procurement. Additionally, the candidate is knowledgeable in procurement systems and operational processes, as well as CDMO Management or direct procurement. Lastly, the candidate is capable of communicating fluently in English.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Category and sourcing subject matter specialist conducting market and internal analysis to develop and implement strategies and tactical plans for Roche to source and negotiate for third-party goods and services that satisfy stakeholder requirements.
  * Procurement practitioners deliver and execute sourcing strategies by leveraging spend, category know-how, robust sourcing, negotiation, contracting, supplier management, and project management skills to achieve objectives and key results.
  * Content and automation advocate translating sourcing outcomes and opportunities into content and automated buying channels that improve business adoption, satisfaction, and overall efficiency.

Must Haves:

• a university degree, with a business degree preferable
  * min. 3+ years of experience in sourcing, contracting, operational efficiency projects, or relevant commodity experience
  * Knowledgeable in procurement systems and operational processes, such as contracting, (e) Sourcing, supplier relationship management
  * Knowledge in the CDMO Management or direct procurement and awareness of adjacent commodities
  * Business level fluency in English
  * The ability to explain general capability area information to others or collect/translate moderate complexity stakeholder requirements in straightforward situations
  * Demonstrated project management skills.
  * The ability to strive to act as an enterprise thinker and leverage knowledge and expertise to create solutions for business customers by proactively fostering collaboration, including across the procurement network.
  * The ability to be action-oriented and can make decisions and influence others to do the same; repurpose work and ideas in favor of starting from scratch.
  * The ability to demonstrate curiosity, active listening, and a willingness to experiment and test new ideas when appropriate, focusing on continuous learning and improvement.
  * The ability to work with colleagues across procurement, business, and the broader Roche organization to broaden knowledge and expertise, better understand customer needs, and connect the dots.
  * The ability to be open-minded and inclusive, generously sharing ideas and knowledge while being receptive to ideas and feedback from others.
