For our customer a big pharmaceutical company in Basel we are looking for a highly qualified Research Associate – Cancer Cell Targeted Therapy (m/f/d).

We are offering an outstanding opportunity for a Research Associate to work with multidisciplinary teams of scientists and research associates dedicated to initiating and implementing novel drug discovery projects, and to jointly shape our future portfolio as a member of a broad network of drug discovery specialists.

The perfect candidate:

Has a MSc degree in biology, or a related scientific field. Please do not upload candidates with a PhD degree. The perfect candidate is a self-driven research associate with at least 2+ years of industry experience. The candidate should have some work experience in the fields of Oncology or Immuno-oncology. The candidate thrives in a dynamic, inclusive environment which gives him/her full accountability for own contributions and development. He/She has a keen interest in continuously building a personal network. The candidate is resourceful and flexible in problem solving and in working in a collaborative and inclusive manner. He/She has a sense for ensuring that everyone has the required information at all times

Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Development of pharmacodynamic (PD) assays that will provide robust and accurate measurements of drug effects in cell lines and in samples of mouse models.
• Implementation of biomarker assays to demonstrate target engagement and confirm mechanism of action (MOA).
• Designing and execution of experimental work and performing data analysis.
• Participating in scientific discussions and presenting your work in team meetings.
• Supporting team members in optimizing and maintaining lab organization.

Must Haves:

• MSc degree in biology, or a related scientific field (no PHD)
• At least 2 or more years of experience in a research laboratory, in an academia and/or industry environment
• At least 2 or more years of experience with cancer cell culture and drug screening
• Experience in molecular and cell biology techniques including flow cytometry, western blotting, immunostaining and imaging
• Motivated to learn and apply innovative research tools and new techniques and have excellent organizational skills
• Clear communicator and fluent in English.

Nice to have:

• Experience with CRISPR and RNAi methods.
