For our customer a big pharmaceutical company in Basel we are looking for a highly qualified Research Associate Protein Crystallization

Background:
As a Professional Laboratory Technician in the protein crystallization laboratory, you will grow the crystals needed for structure-based small molecule design and for therapeutic antibodies drug discovery. The position is at the Innovation Center Basel in Lead Discovery of Pharmaceutical Research and Early Development.
We are looking for a competent research associate or scientist who enjoys close collaboration with colleagues in protein production, assay development, screening, medicinal chemistry, and disease biology.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Planning, performing, interpreting, evaluating and documenting crystallization experiments
  * Operating and maintaining liquid-handling pipetting robots and crystal imaging systems
  * Presenting experimental data in laboratory or team meetings
  * Collaborating closely with colleagues and leaders in multidisciplinary project teams

  Must Haves:

• Vocational or technical training, BSc or MSc degree or equivalent in biology, biochemistry, or in a related discipline
  * Min. 1 year experience in protein crystallization
  * Min. 1 year experience in protein biochemistry
  * English fluent oral and written, German is a plus
  * Enthusiastic, well-organized and able to work both independently and as part of a team
  * Ability to multi-task

Nice to Have:
* Experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry
