Research Associate / Scientist (f/m/d) – CDS /openlab / German/English / documents / chromatography

For our customer a big pharmaceutical company in Basel we are looking for two highly qualified Research Associate / Scientist

Background:
Within the pCMC (preclinical Chemistry Manufacturing and Controls) department in pRED at our client the analytics section works with various analytical methods to support the whole value chain and all modalities. We are seeking a committed associate to join our chromatography lab.

Perfect Candidate:
The perfect candidate is someone with hands on experience (3 to 5 years) in chromatographic analysis with a focus on small molecules. We are looking for an associate level position so someone with either a vocational training or a Bachelor in Chemistry / Analytics. This person needs to be fluent in both English and German.

On a soft skills note, we are looking for a motivated and reliable person able to work independently. The successful candidate is open-minded, goal-oriented and able to work in a fast developing and changing environment.

Tasks & Responsibilities:
* Carry out chromatographic analysis of small molecules and oligonucleotides.
* Developing, optimizing and troubleshooting of achiral and chiral chromatographic Methods (HPLC, UHPLC, GC or SFC-Analyses and MS) using modern equipment
* Plan and perform experiments independently
* Staying abreast with technological and scientific developments in the field
* Maintain instruments and laboratory environment according to laboratory best practices and Roche Safety, Healthcare & Environment standards
* Appropriately document protocols and results

Must haves:
* Vocational training or Bachelor in chemistry or analytics
* 3-5 year experience in field of chromatography and fundamental chemical understanding
* Experience in chromatography data system (CDS); Agilent Openlab Chemstation and/or Agilent Openlab 2
* Good German and English language skills
* Good data analysis and documentation skills
* Experience in data management is a plus, Appropriately document protocols
