Security and Network System Engineer (m/f/d) – LAN / Cisco / Server / SQL / Azure / Microsoft 365 / English / German

Role:

For our Life Science client based in Zug we are looking for a Security and Network System Engineer (m/f/d).

Background:
In the role of a Cyber Security & Network System Engineer you will manage and operate the Cyber Security Systems and the Networks in the headquarters (Zug) and in 4 international locations (Germany, US, Slovenia, …), in cooperation with our global and local teams.

Areas of responsibility:

– Leadership for ICT security systems and operation improvement

– Leading the security systems and network change management process

– Establish and operate security dashboards and cyber security threat detection and hunting

– Establish and manage cyber security incident response and remediation processes

– System Engineer for network consolidation, standardization and transformation

– Ensure ICT network service availability (LAN, WLAN, VPN, WAN, Firewalls)

– Close cooperation with system engineers, global supporters, partners und suppliers

– Establish, maintain ICT security monitoring and governance and enforce guidelines / policies

– Lead the documentation process for ICT security systems and network transformation

Education:

– Degree in computer science (University, ETH, FH,…) or equivalent Network Professional Degree (e.g. CCNP) of leading vendor

– ICT security management, cyber security defense and offense

Skills/Competencies:

– Excellent network system engineering, analytical and project leadership skills

– Very good communication skills at all levels, speak business and ICT language

– Good ICT process and service skills in global context

– Individual will need to be self-motivated, highly reliable, quality driven and be able to prioritize work volume

– Individual must be able to work independently and as an excellent team player in a challenging and changing environment

– Excellent knowledge regarding modern ICT technologies (networks, cyber security, firewalls, client protection, SIEM, etc.)

– Business Fluent in German, good communication skills in English (minimum B1 Level)

– Willing to travel up to 10% (Germany, US, Slovenia)

Experience:

– More than 5 years with Network and Security Technologies (LAN, WLAN, WAN, Virtualization, Security; Cisco or equivalent)

– More than 1 year with endpoint protection, vulnerability detection methods and tool; Elastic Security is an advantage

– More than 5 years with Microsoft Technologies (Server, AD, Network, SQL Server)

– More than 3 years in ICT infrastructure engineering, applications, operations and ticketing

– Hybrid Cloud Networks

– Cloud network and security technologies (Microsoft 365, Defender, Azure, MFA, etc.)
