For our customer Roche Diagnostics International AG based in Rotkreuz we are looking for a highly qualified Senior Engineer Mechanics (Lead) in R&D BGE

Background:

The department Instrumentation Development (DSRPI) is looking for a Senior Engineer Mechanics (w/m/d) to guide a cross-functional mechanical team, which partly develops the next generation of Blood Gas & Electrolytes (BG/E) Analyzer. This collaborative role will be located in Rotkreuz (Switzerland).

The perfect candidate is a Senior Engineer Mechanics with at least 5 years of professional experience in the development of devices. The Candidate has an affinity for methodical and systematic approach in the early phase of product development and worked in a highly regulated environment before.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Technical leadership of the mechanical project team and management of external partners in the defined area.
  * Hands-on in all phases of mechanical development from feasibility studies through design, development, testing and bug fixing, and maintenance with the opportunity to tailor the role to your strengths.
  * Based on requirements and models, definition of mechanical architecture, design and specifications, ultimately leading to implementation.
  * Participation in the definition of work packages, their estimation, planning, and implementation in a sprint-based agile environment.
  * Take on responsibility, actively promote the tasks in a matrix organized project and work on your own work packages to stay on the pulse.
  * Support CAD – SAP interface for the group, provide guidance on development processes, standards and regulations.
  * Collect and document requirements from stakeholders (e.g. sensor developer, reagent team, product care, etc.).
  * Close collaboration with product owners, scrum master, architects, and developers in a modern agile environment.

Must Haves:

• University degree in mechanical engineering (mechatronics, micromechanics, plastics technology)
  * Minimum 5 years of professional experience in the development of devices, while performing CAD design (Solidworks preferred), simulations, tolerance calculations, and FMEAs ****
  * Experience in a GMP regulated environment ****
  * CAD Experience and SAP Experience.**** Solid Works is a plus
  * Affinity for methodical and systematic approach in the early phase of product development ****
  * Collaborative leader who promotes and enables the self-organization of the team ****
  * Demonstrated ability to work independently to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders
  * Experienced matrix worker, with good communications and presentations skills
  * Broad experience and network, to manage and evaluate external partners
  * Practical knowledge in translation of functional, performance, regulatory, manufacturing and service requirements into design in a regulated environment
  * The project language is English (is a MUST), listening and reading comprehension in German is a plus
