For our customer a big pharmaceutical company in Basel we are looking for a highly qualified Senior Project Manager

Background:
In this role within the pRED Scientific Operations Chapter, you will play a key role in the planning, coordination and conduct of all Scientific Operations activities needed for ensuring a successful MOVE into the newly established pRED Center, the Basel home for the R&D laboratories of Roche Pharma Research & Early Development (pRED). The role offers ample visibility towards senior leadership in Roche’s pRED and beyond, and will expose the incumbent to a significant leadership experience, combined with content managing one of the largest ever R&D infra-structure move related projects realized within a pharmaceutical organization.

The perfect candidate:
Has more than 8 years of experience in project management, experience in moving facilities and a project management certificate. Additionally, the person has fluent English skills.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Partner with the Infrastructure pRED Center MOVE Team, all Capabilities within the Scientific Operations Chapter, the pRED Lab Managers Community and pRED scientists to carefully map out, coordinate and supervise all SciOps move related activities to enable the new pRED Center in Basel
  * In partnership with the Laboratory Informatics & Digitalization Capability Enabler and Team, coordinate and supervise all Scientific Operations move labor activities (including coordination of an external workforce and related service providers/ partners), ensure the plan solidly reflects the needs coming from pRED’s DTAs and GFx (aligned with the Move Champions, Lab Managers and Floor Planners), accurately map out moving schedules for the R&D Labs related items (lab computers, robotics installations, lab consumables/reagents/ identified lab equipment), provide operational and procedural support to ensure the SciOps move project is executed in accordance with established departmental, building, and client means, methods, and procedures; where applicable, request and obtain quotations for external support (with Procurement) and land the project within timeline and budget
  * In preparation and during the pRED Center Move phase, coordinate necessary laboratory installations for new or re-purposed equipment and scientific devices and ensure its move planning is adequate and in line with Roche guidelines, current regulations, compliance, biosafety hazards, etc. Ensure plans for all Robotics and Automated installations (proprietary to Roche) are accurate and executed according to the moving plans; where needed and applicable, liaise (under the agreed move plans) with third – party installations providers (i.e. Tecan) to ensure business continuity
  * Coordinate and supervise all activities related to the move of laboratory supply (bio- and chemical reagents) articles, items and associated logistics processes during the preparation and move phase of the pRED Center, in alignment with the CLS (Central Lab Supply) Capability

  Must Haves:

• min. 8 years of experience Project management background, ideally a project management certificate (PMP)
  * Experience in moving facilities with complex IT or R&D lab systems
  * completed vocational training
  * project management skills (Scrum, agile)
  * speak fluent English and preferably a second language (German would be preferred)
  * extraordinary attention to details
  * passion for implementing complex projects at large scale, with significant disciplinary inter-dependencies.
  * strong competence in communication, able to maintain the big picture without losing sight of details.
  * highly effective in collaborations across multiple cultures
  * deep knowledge of the laboratory environments and R&D activities in early research and development and acquaintance with R&D processes and the pRED organization.
