Project / Role:

For our client a leading energy provider in the region of Central Switzerland we are looking for a Software Engineer to join their Digital and Commerce unit. As a Software Engineer you will be a key member of this team, delivering value to the business in the form of IT Products, Components, and DevOps.

You will work closely with a team in the form of sprints and expert groups covering your key skills.

You will be supported to continually train and achieve further certifications to reach the high standards expected, ensuring you are staying current with new technologies.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Implementation of software solutions matching business specifications provided by Application Engineers.
• Follow the software development lifecycle, instructions and best practices within the development team.
• Respect the team goals and proactively act to improve individual and team performance.
• Deliver software solutions which are verified against business and technical requirements
• Produce high quality and timely documentation.
• Implement solutions runnable with best practices in the relevant technology stack.

Requirements:

• University Educated in a numerical discipline.
• Industrial experience of up to 5 years in Software Engineering
• Ability to program in PL/SQL, Oracle WebLogic and Java
• In depth Oracle knowledge
• Demonstrate ability to understand a wide range of data structures and related algorithms for manipulating those structures

Languages:

• English – Fluent (spoken and written)
