Project: For our client in the financial services industry, we are looking for an experienced Big Data Engineer. You will ensure the processing of streaming analytics whilst ensuring stable performance on the platform.
Duties will include the reviewing of the data analytics platform in trading (application for collecting market and order data) with a Special focus on improving the performance and stability of the platform in the area of tick data
This is a key role where you will collaborate on solution architecture and expansion of the analytics platform in trading (scaling)
Skills and Experience Required:
Degree (Uni/FH) in Banking and Finance, Business Administration, Business Informatics or comparable education.
Experience with the conception, configuration and integration of applications in the field of data analytics (BigData)
Experience with the configuration and optimisation of databases for tick data, in particular with a focus on query and storage performance
Willingness for support / on-call duties
Experience and knowledge in FX/PM trading advantageous
Experience with PostgreSQL Timescale DB and InfluxDBGit, Gradle, Cloudbees/Jenkins and Continuous Delivery Pipeline
