Kubernetes GCP DevOps – Google Cloud Platform, Java and Vue.js, CI/CD (GitHub, Jenkins)

Role:
For our client in the Pharma industry based in Basel we are looking for a Kubernetes GCP DevOps.

We are looking for a Kubernetes / GCP DevOps Expert who will be building out and supporting the EDISON
(Enlightened Data Integration SOlutioN) Platform infrastructure, as well as monitor processes such as
continuous integration, build infrastructure, and test automation. Our platform systems are written with
the Java, Vue.js, MongoDB stack and deployed on GCP and AWS utilizing Kubernetes.
The perfect candidate: We are looking for a strong DevOps candidate that has experience in GCP and
coding best practices. The position is fully remote.

Areas of responsibility:
* Ensure high performance of the platform as it scales to a cloud enterprise solution
* Proactively collaborate with our lead developer and developers to design the deployment architecture
necessary to meet the business requirements
* Developing and advancing the capabilities of our CI/CD pipeline
* Enhance monitoring tools, build infrastructure and automations

Professional and technical requirements:
* Min. Bachelor degree in Computer Science or similar discipline
* Min. 4-5 years professional experience with deploying to production using Kubernetes and
Docker container technologies on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
* Min. 4+ years experience developing production grade Cloud infrastructure for applications written in
Java and Vue.js or similar relevant technologies
* Strong understanding of best coding practices (software craftsmanship, clean code, TDD/BDD/DDD,
pair-programming)
* Professional experience with CI/CD (GitHub, Jenkins)
* Strong analytical skills combined with conceptual thinking and structured working style
* Ability to work in a multicultural geographically distributed team
* Strong communication skills
* Fluent in English

Nice to Haves:
* Experience with AWS and/or Azure
* Experience with MongoDB
* Previous working experience within an AGILE environment (ideally SCRUM)
