For our client in the Roche Rotkreuz based in Rotkreuz we are looking for a Principal UX Designer (f/m/d)

Background:

As a Principal UX Designer you will be responsible for leading the Ideation and Design phase of a medical device by acting as UX Lead in the project, making sure customer-centricity is enabled during the project development and that Roche Standards and Guidelines are well implemented.

The perfect candidate:
We are looking for a candidate who is able to lead the UX Design phase of a Medical Device Project. We need someone with previous experience in Development of Medical Devices, acting as UX Lead for different Design phases and who is able to navigate complexity and technical requirements. In addition the candidate needs to be able to streamline the user needs to clear UX Deliverables and who is able to prioritize.

Tasks & Responsibilities
* Be the voice of Roche patients and users in every product related discussion
* Work with UX Researchers to identify users and customers pain points, needs and requirements
* Document workflows as-is and ideate workflows to-be with the goal of improving existing UX
* Design user journeys, storyboards and high-level prototypes to describe and validate the future UX
* Support the identification of user profiles, tasks, hazard-related use scenarios, usability risks and requirements
* Create and facilitate workshops with the product teams to gather system-level information and to coordinate the design deliverables
* Plan and conduct usability studies and coordinate external suppliers in the process
* Advocate for accessibility, quality and usability for end-users at Roche Diagnostics
* Provide guidance and mentorship to more junior designers supporting them on professional development, output and productivity

Must Haves:
* Min. Bachelor degree in Psychology, Design, Industrial Engineering, Human Factors Engineering, other related technical field or you have equivalent practical experience
* Min. 7+ years of experience in the Usability Engineering process or User Experience design for medical devices made of both hardware and software
* Min. 3-5 years experience as Lead for UX Design Projects
* Experience in creating, facilitating and analyzing workshops with customers and stakeholders
* Fluent in English (spoken and written)
* Excellent presentation skills and ability to communicate know-how, experiences, ideas, solutions and deliverables effectively and persuasively
* Teamplayer but also ability to work independent
* Ability to self-organize and prioritize tasks

Nice to Haves
* Other languages are always a big plus
* Knowledge of the IEC 62366 standard and the latest FDA guidance on applying human factors engineering is a plus
* Experience in planning, executing and documenting usability studies in the medical field is a plus
* Previous Roche experience
