March 2010-Feb 2012: Bank

Fix Trade Integration support engineer. Systems, network, middleware and applications support and trouble-shooting for low-latency trading platform. Engineering and support of pricing broadcasts, market data feeds, end-to-end trade flows. Installation, administration and performance tuning of Solaris, RHEL5/6 based and application-specific clusters, MQ, Tibco RV, Nirvana, Apache Webserver and Tomcat, DMZ specific tools, SSZ. Verisign and self-singned certificate management for Apache, Nirvana, SSL tunnels (DMZ and internal connections). Sub-millisecond time synchronization across the globe using Tibco RV APIs for C.  Critical production code upgrades, incident  management.

Aug.2007-March 2010: Bank

UNIX Infrastructure cleanup and ongoing projects (RHEL, SLES, Solaris, AIX). Setup of Linux/Solaris/AIX provisioning system including Kickstart, Jumpstart and NIM. Design and testing of  manual failover schemes for Linux and Solaris workgroup-range servers and for IBM p590 LPars between sites for BCP. Core Banking, Data Warehouse and Trading applications support and reverse-engineering.  p590 HSM-side scripting  for unattended LPar resource management. AIX and Linux LVM, Veritas VM, Sun SVM (DiskSuite) on Hitachi storage with HDLM and MpxIO, Jumpstart with automatic installation and configuration of Solaris zones, complicated ZFS pools, custom SMF methods/manifests, homemade SMF-aware packages. Middleware support and engineering for trading floor  – MQ, secure file transfer with scp, sftp, IP tunnels, FTP/SSH robots.
