Technical Project Manager (m,f,d) – Data Platforms Cloud/Agile/DevOps – Remote (EU)

Project: We are looking for a skilled Technical Project Manager to lead and oversee the delivery of a critical data platform, powered by Databricks. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in Agile project management, driving collaboration, iterative delivery, and ensuring alignment with business objectives. This role will involve managing a complex, evolving project while working with platform engineers, architects, business analysts, and key stakeholders across the organization.

The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, ensuring that all project outcomes meet quality standards and business goals. This role requires someone who is capable of working autonomously while leveraging support from a collaborative team.

Tasks:

• Lead and deliver projects using Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban), fostering flexibility, transparency, and continuous improvement.
• Act as the primary point of contact for both technical and business stakeholders, translating complex technical concepts into clear business language.
• Manage product backlogs, sprint planning, and progress tracking using Agile boards. Facilitate retrospectives to continuously improve the process.
• Work closely with engineers and technical leads to ensure that solutions are technically sound, scalable, and aligned with platform standards.
• Ensure all project deliverables meet the agreed quality and success criteria, including functionality, security, performance, and reliability.
• Provide clear and concise updates to stakeholders at all levels, ensuring transparency and alignment with business needs.
• Identify risks early in the project and implement proactive mitigation strategies.
• Lead efforts to refine and improve delivery practices based on feedback from the team and Agile principles.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
• 10+ years of experience in technical project management, ideally within data platform or cloud environments.
• Proven experience with data platforms and cloud technologies such as Databricks, Azure, AWS, or Spark.
• Extensive experience managing projects in Agile environments. Scrum Master certification or equivalent is a plus.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and align both technical and business teams.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
• A track record of delivering measurable project outcomes and driving high-quality results.
• Experience with data platform transformations, cloud migrations, and large-scale analytics implementations.
• Knowledge of data governance, compliance, and security standards.
• Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD processes in cloud-based environments.
• Experience in Trading, Finance, or Energy is a strong plus
